College Essay Use - Why To Write Your Own
College Essay Use - Why To Write Your OwnI had a college friend of mine who always used to put the essays he wrote for his classes into an envelope with a graduation note inside, and hand it out at the last class of the semester. He would say that this envelope was the most effective way to get his essay read by his teachers. His essay and the graduation note were the only two forms of advertising in the end of semester. This, of course, worked out rather well for him.We often see an essay that needs a little bit of help from us to increase the student's understanding of the concepts that he should be familiar with. A good idea to start is to ask the instructor to sign your essay. For extra credit, you can also add a couple of questions to it that can improve your understanding of the topics. When you do this, it is OK to add a few more questions than you need. You can add a couple of examples of common questions that you might find on an internet site or a community newspaper. If the essay provides enough examples, you will soon know which areas you will need to look further into. You might also try asking the teacher to revise your essay. Don't get discouraged if you don't get a response. You can ask the teacher to offer some comments on the essay that you put together. You can also write a small paragraph discussing what you learn about the subject in that paragraph.Another common question that you might want to include in your essay is about your relationship to the subject. Talk about how you learned about the subject from reading or from other sources. Have a list of your sources ready so that the teacher can give you proper citations. You can even add one extra paragraph on how you learned about the subject through the 'life' of the student.Another common question to ask yourself is whether or not the student asked you to do this research. Ask the student and see how much their answers differ from yours. Then talk about how you would like to do the researc h yourself. Finally, you can also add a point about why the essay is useful to you. Ask yourself whether or not this essay can help you in your own job search or your future career. What other things could you learn from this essay?
